Volunteer Opportunities
Mind relies on the valuable skills and time that volunteers bring to the organisation.
We believe in creating volunteer partnerships, where volunteers benefit and develop through their work with Mind, as much as we do from the valuable time volunteers contribute.
We take a person centred approach to volunteering and will work with you to identify where your skills can be most useful and where the experience will be most rewarding for you.
Unfortunately, we cannot currently provide volunteer placements for counselling students.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
- Membership of the Trustee Board
- Office and project admin support
- IT data in-put to support website directory
- Assistant tutors
- Field trip organisers
- Events and activities planning
- Fundraising
- Publicity and promotions
- Advice and information (training will be given)
If you can spare a minimum of half a day a week (3.5 hours), we would love to hear from you.
Volunteers working directly with service users are required to have CRB (criminal records bureau) clearance.
Volunteer Expenses
Travel expenses up to a zone 1 and 2 daily travel card.
A lunch allowance of £5.00 for volunteers working a full 7 hour day.
